Happy Home...

I love my home.

I had fallen out of love with it but recently we are in a full on love affair again!

Lots of rooms have had a fresh coat of paint, the rooms are lighter and brighter...with a snap or two of colour sprinkled in...

Colour really is making mine a Happy Home...and a recent 'slip of the button' is giving me the umph to add a few more touches here and there

It's no secret that I've been colour loving turquoise for some time...
What colour is making you Happy this summer?

A show and tell Ta-Da...

Finally...a break in the clouds and a chance to snap a couple of photo's

Sadly this is what Im most excited about
my rescued bike/shopping basket...
I LOVE the colour

Simple things and simple minds

This is the first time I've put the lampshade onto a base and Im surprised by how much I like it!
I'll explain...I thought it would be too high up on the stand, but although it is high with a 2" trim at the bottom I think it will work

I mentioned before that I had sprayed a couple of other bits...
Im planning a turquoise, red and white Christmas next year and sprayed the hearts to fit

And I have plans afoot for these...

The tutorial that I vaguely followed for the lampshade recover can be found over at Shingle Cottage Blog, as can lots of inspiring photos of very pretty pink things!

Whilst the cats away...

the mouse will play...

Fonzy, my youngest started nursery a couple of weeks ago which has been wonderful for us both!

He LOVES it, much to every-ones surprise he settled without tears from day 1 which was a huge relief and meant I felt no guilt about coming home and having a bit of 'me' time. 2 hours a day without little people around is surprisingly looong!

This last week I've spent that time making the Priddy Priddy hearts...a great success last year they raised funds for #2 daughters school.

Determind to stash bust as much as possible, this year I have these to show for my efforts...

the grey ones might just be my favourite this year...

although I can't decide if the cream button or

the turquoise are my favorite!

In real life the blue is the turquoise that Im 'colour loving' at the moment...however the red and cream are both classics

And the red hearts match the homemade Christmassy bunting that goes up on Loopy's birthday at the begining of December and mark the start of our Christmas preparations...

...'tis a tuff choice!
