♥Colclough Harlequin♥...

be still my beating ♥heart♥...I think I'm in love all over again!

1930's style at it's absolute very best...

Colclough bought fine bone china to the general masses but oh they did it just so darned well.

{These will be going on Etsy some time this week...if you'd like dibs just drop me a line!}

***

One of my paint projects from last week the very pretty and useful sturdy pine shelf unit.
Labelled as a Spice Rack and made by Alexander Furniture

Given 3 coats of Annie Sloan paints and finished with 2 coats of wax, very slightly distressed and I'm aiming to list this on Etsy this week...
a snip at £55
This will also be coming along to the Vintage Fair at Milton Keynes if it's not re-homed by then.

{The tea cups & saucers are Wedgwood
the sandwich platter is Woods Ware Beryl
all also waiting to go onto Etsy too!
The other bits are packed away ready for the Vintage Fair over at Central Milton Keynes}

  1. LOVE Colclough. I have some Colclough Acorn pieces that belonged to my fiance's grandmother, but missing some bits. But I really love the pistachio green colour there...I don't have any green china...

  3. Hej
    I am interested in your lovely colclough china.
    Just started a tea room in Sweden...these would be perfect. I've checked on your etsy page but can't see them listed yet...
    Can you let me know how much per trio or for the whole lot please?
    I also bought a set of milk bottles from you last week, apparently they have arrived at parents house in UK. I promise I will leave you feedback once I've seen them ;-)

  4. What you have there is actually Colclough Ballet. Very similar to the Harlequin (which I collect) but the Ballet has white on the bottom of the cups and Harlequin does not.
    Beautiful though and very hard to find in the US.

    I once passed an entire set of 12 cups, saucers and cakes plates in an antique store because I already had a set. I have been beating myself up now for about 8 years!

  5. @ Litlle Me...
    Ah thank you for that, I spent some time googling it and thought I had the right one.
    I almost didn't pick them up..but so glad I did.
    Sadly they're all sold now but I do have a couple of plates that I might make into a little cake stand!
