Local Markets and website updates...

We've been busy in real life and on the website

We went to the West Wycombe August craft market, which if you get the chance to go to in the future do it!  It's a small market, free entry but every stall is top notch.

I had my little helper for the day

I was much happier with the set up of the stall despite the much smaller space - think we've got it sorted now.

After a bit of trial and error, I've settled on the packaging for the tealights

Simple, functional and pretty as well pretty.
We've got the tealights all listed on the website, including a pick and mix option!

I love dotting them around in the living room, trouble is I can't choose which jar to pop them in.

I've also listed refills for the reed diffusers

Hard to believe that the summer holidays are almost finished.
The back to school routine is starting in our little home, nights are starting to draw in.  It's funny but when I burn my candles in the evening they bring back little memories of days out, days in the pool, days just chilling on the deck.

I've got a Beach Days diffuser out in my bedroom, as for me it's been the smell of Summer 2017

Time Travelling...

I think I might be a time traveller on the quiet.

One minute I look at the calender and its March, I look again and June's here, look again and we're almost at the end of July!

How does it happen?

Like many of you I'm in the hectic count down to end of term.
With my youngest daughter moving up to BIG school this year, there are a lot of 'leavers' events occuring.
All lots of fun and all totally distracting!!

We took NW & Co Candles to Tidworth Polo Club at the beginning of this month
I've never been to a Polo match before and Tidworth were hosting the Rundle Cup, an Army v Navy event.
There was a parachute drop complete with flags & smoke, the Royal Marines marching band and of course a fair dose of Polo!

It was a smashing day, the weather was glorious

Candles in the heat can be challenging, but with a bit of movement we were able to keep the majority of them shaded

The tent smelt amazing if I say so myself, if I could have had a pound for everyone who said how lovely it smelt I would of had a weekend away somewhere sunny!

I'm so pleased with how it all looked on the day

 NW & co

The only thing I would change is to not separate the tables, as when it got a bit busy it meant instead of a flow of people one way there was a bit of crossing over!  Not the end of the world I know but what can I say?  Call me picky.

The Vintage Range was a lovely talking point, lots of memories from Grannies tables

I can't end a post without mentioning the really important stuff!

We now offer all our scents in a candle, reed diffuser & also a room spray.

I'll make a separate post about the reed diffuser & room spray
They honestly do deserve a bit of a showy off post!
Needless to say it took a LOT of testing to get them both to be just right

Travel Tin Candles...

Handy sized Travel Tin Candles are being added to my core range.

Perfect for guest rooms, bathrooms and those days when you don't want to burn your gorgeous Pure Copper Candles!

100g / 4oz candle made using the same quality ingredients that go into ALL my candles.

I like to leave all my candles in their Natural colour, each oil/scent gives a slight variation to the gorgeous ivory.

The lids keep the candle dust and debris free, making them perfect for the rooms where they might not get burnt daily or if you have pets it helps keep their hairs out!

Available to buy from my Etsy shop

As I make these myself I can easily customise them to make super sweet wedding or party favours in your chosen scent.

More scents being added to the range but please drop me a line
info@priddypriddy.co.uk
if I can help tailor something for you.

Priddy Copper Candles in 'Bake Off'...

I think I will aim to introduce one scent a month.  A scent that will reflect the season and its celebrations.

With that, this month March I give you...

'Bake Off'
Inspired by the
Great British Bake Off
&
Valeries Patisserie

Smells like a warm cinnamon swirl with a hint of whipped cream...its a lazy Sunday morning sat in Vals
This is the candle I light when I settle down to watch The Great British Bake Off

I made a batch of these on Saturday morning and when the younger kiddos came home from football and hockey practice they asked if I'd been baking!

Wouldn't they make a wonderful alternative to an Easter Egg?
It smells so yummy and lasts beyond...

Wish I could have had these out in time for Mothers Day, a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a yummy smelling candle!
Still there's always next year

A chunky 300g candle that give 48+ hours burn time.

Luxury Soy Copper Candles...

Luxury Scented Soy Candles
in Pure Copper Pots

My timing may be a bit off, I may not have these into the Etsy shop in time for Mothers Day 2016...

but...

sometimes the really good things REALLY are worth waiting for!

Priddy Priddy Luxury Copper Candles use

...Soy Wax
{as Soy Candles give a cleaner burn in comparison to the cheaper paraffin wax candles}

...the finest oils/fragrances to give a beautiful scent throw.
{all oils are IFRA certified}

...and for the Luxury Pure Copper range I've chosen wooden wicks, which give a long burn time and make a most relaxing gentle fireside crackle as they burn.

Each Priddy Priddy candle is hand poured in small batches by me, here in England.

I burn a tester for each batch to ensure that quality is maintained.

In essence I invest a lot of time and care into every candle that leaves my little home.

There has been a lot of testing of scents to find a core range, lots of testing of wicks, testing burn times,
testing...testing...testing!

By night...

By day...

all to get them just so.

Pure Copper containers, these really are Luxurious

I can't not post about the CLP labelling!
{It's all a bit boring but all thoroughly necessary to sell these beautiful candles}

Oh the labelling is hard work.

Legislation came into effect last year that ALL candles now need proper CLP labels.

Well that's quite a bit of work, investment and stress for a small business like myself.

But I am happy to say that ALL Priddy Priddy candles will conform to CLP legislation.

Something I'm really quite proud of.

Sunny days...

Oh hasn't the weather been amazing!?
Yesterday the hottest 1st July ever recorded here in the UK...
I have to confess I did whinge a bit yesterday, even the wind was like a warm hairdryer!

But it has given me the excuse to tuck myself away in the shade and catch up on a few bits.

Saturday just passed we were at a Garden Party Fundraiser for the Primrose Unit.
It was glorious weather.
I only took a few things along as I wanted to enjoy the event/atmosphere.

I did worry that the Beardy Bobs Soy Wax Candles might melt in the heat but they held on through even the hottest midday sun

I was assisted by my helper, whose rates were quite reasonable
...as much ice-cream as we could both manage!

I've also taken the time to take a few snaps and list a few bits over on Etsy

'Kev' the donkey may just be my favourite, but this little deer has been giving me the big brown eyes for attention...

and amongst other things a few pretty and kitschy tins have found their way onto Etsy

The weather has taken a cloudy break so no more photo's but I will be listing a few ready to ship Beardy Bobs Candles over the next few days

HAPPY WEEKENDING
