An illegal post...

;)

I know, I know to tell you how much fun we had at the MK Handmade & Vintage Fair WITHOUT showing a single picture should (and possibly is in blogland) be illegal!!

But we had the most amazing weekend....far too many wonderful stalls to mention them all individually.  I don't think I have met a nicer bunch of stallholders - ever.

The talent of the handmade items is outstanding...all made with such care and simply gorgeous.

We're back again on the 26th May at the Milton Keynes shopping centre, you can find us just outside the John Lewis entrance, we'll be surrounded by oodles of lovely goodies once again.
Next time we go I really must do a before and after shot of the stall as we started off piled high with goodies and finished the weekend almost sold out!!

The Fortnum and Mason picnic hamper was snapped up by a lovely couple who do 40's picnics!  They both looked so dapper and lovely.  A couple bought a whole heap of Utillity China for their daughters vintage inspired wedding this coming summer, the gorgeous shelf I painted last week was re-homed very quickly - a good thing too as I could quite happily have bought it home with me :)  An Ercol chair went to its new home in a sewing room and the 50's Sandygate China went it's way to 2 lovely ladies to be used daily for their morning cuppas.
See so many lovely customers who want to share what they'll be doing with the items, lots of people stop for a chat.  It's lovely to chat to the older generation who remember the goodies from their first time around...the lady who bought the Midwinter Spanish Garden plates was given the set on her wedding day, over the years the set ages and she was delighted to find half a dozen plates to top up her collection - still being used daily all these years later.

Honestly I didn't just stand around all day chatting...well I did manage to take a wander around the other stalls and I did wrap a lot of goodies and...ok ok I confess I did chat a lot over the weekend!

  1. Sounds wonderful to get that face to face contact with people and know where the things are going.
