Utility China, again!...

I sold a fair few pieces at the last Vintage Market and bought the rest home yesterday for a wash and count up...I really do LOVE to 'play' with it all so any excuse will do!

Almost all of it fits in the little Vintage corner unit I picked up last week and have almost finished painting etc

No room for the few blue bits left though or the large number of Hedgerow bits I've managed to part with

A few bits of Jasmine are listed on Etsy (which will be open again quite soon) but if there's anything you're interested in do let me know & I'll get a shipping quote
{it is quite heavy to post though which is why I don't list lots of it on Etsy}

This lovely stuff generates interest all over the place....including Australia!!

Vintage Suitcase...

Part 1

I picked this little beauty up at the last Vintage Fair...

Not sure whether to keep it as it was and use it or re-cover and either use or sell

It's taken a while to decide what fabric to use and just as long to find time to actually get crafty
{wet school holidays do not equal quality mama crafty time!}

So not able to wait for the big reveal...that might not happen for a couple of week yet if the weather continues to mock me

Here we have Part 1...the work in progress

It's been a lesson, the tute I found some time ago said to use the rotary cutter to tuck and trim, but that just wasn't working for me?  The Custards folded the sides under and that method is working for me

I blame Mollie Makes magazine {where I saw a lady who sells these online} and the tinternet {too many gorgeous blogs by very talented crafters},
show me a bit of gorgeousness and I feel the need to put my own stamp on a version

ETA
It was Ideal Home where I saw an article on a lovely lady who sells the suitcases

Waiting for...

A break in the weather to take a few photo's

The weather is vile...wet n miserable, the light is poor and when we do get a break in it all, well it seems a shame not to spend those precious dry moments outside.

So work/crafting is afoot here, a lovely Vintage Suitcase is awaiting fabric choice before being given The Custards makeover, paint has been lavished, bunting was made
{Family has also been fed n clothed and house n home has been 'vaguely' kept}

*sigh*

Thank goodness for the jolly bunting, Union Jack flag and smiling kiddo faces to keep the wet day blues away!
